Maybe fit obsolete front M's too!!
Should change with pads because rear pads last a looooong time. When the rivets in the spring clips fail your calipers will drag on the rotors. Got them for my next pad change because we had to pop river the clips to put rear suspension back together. Dealer clips are only $6.75 each & Pins are $28 each so even if clips are wrong still a good deal.

Retaining kit
The web site and packaging say rear but but they don't fit the rear calipers on a '69 912, they do fit the front though.

Pad retaining kit.
The label on the package had the correct part number but the factory ATE package stated the parts were for a later year 911. The pins fit fine but the spring tension clips were to big. No big deal though, for my clips were still in good shape.
