Pulley Tools

Need to tighten that loose fan Belt? don't use a screwdriver to hold the pulley - get the correct tool for the job! Keep in mind that correct fan belt attachment is essential to keep your engine running cool. It is nearly impossible to obtain the correct tension on the fan belt pulley without this tool. Before you purchase one from us though, make sure that you check the factory tool kit that came with the car - there should be one in there.

Important Tip: The pulley and fan belt must use six shims at all times, either on the inside or the outside. Make sure that you place the extra shims on the outside. If you don't, then the nut will bottom out and the fan belt will not tighten properly, no matter how hard you try.

Camshaft Tools

Rebuilding your engine means doing the job right. Without the right tools, the best work in the world is useless. Don't scrimp on the tools when you're saving money by doing the process yourself.

The Camshaft Socket, Cam Bar, and 46mm Crows Foot Wrench are absolute essentials when assembling or tearing apart your 911 engine. The Camshaft nut that secures the timing requires almost 200 ft-lbs of torque, two people, and the right tools to remove. Attempting to remove this nut without the proper tools can result in damage to your engine!

The spring clips are used to secure the cam followers (tappets) inside the case while you are assembling it. Very often, these will fall out as you rotate and move the case around. Protect them from damage by installing these retaining clips.

The chain sprocket holder is a much more secure method of retaining the chain when you perform a tensioner replacement. Designed to prevent the chain from slipping off the Camshaft sprocket, this tool can be an invaluable life saver. Also used during the upgrade process is the chain tensioner tool, which holds the chain tensioners in their compressed position so that they may be easily installed in the engine.

Stud Removal Tools

This tool incorporates a collet that latches onto and compresses the threads of the stud, squeezing them tight. Then the tool and the stud can be removed. If you are removing studs from an engine case, an extra vise-grip or two might be useful as well to get more torque on the studs.
