A critical part of any head rebuild is new OEM intake and exhaust valves. Many times valves can be reground and reused, however if your valves are too worn to be re-used, Pelican can supply you with the needed parts for your rebuild. Valve Guides act to provide valves with proper lubrication while your engine is running. Any head rebuild should include new Valve Guides. Whenever you replace the valve guides, be sure to check the size of the original valve guide before ordering.
Note: Delivers concentrated advanced Cozol technology directly to the backs of intake valves. Dissolves baked-on carbon deposits, improves MPG, increases power and reduces rough idle. Effective for use on gasoline direct injection and port fuel injection engines. Easy to use - spray past the air mass sensor through the air intake. Alert: This part contains hazardous or explosive materials and cannot be shipped (local pickup only).
Valve springs are used to provide constant tension on the valves. Without them, the valves would make contact with the tops of the pistons and cause damage. It's a good idea to have your old valve springs checked by your machine shop to make sure that they have the correct spring tension. If they do not meet the correct specifications, you should replace them with new ones.
