I have replaced 4 sets of liftgate shocks on my 2004 CayenneS. Each time they get progressively worse and don't last as long as the last set. This time I decided to go back to the OEM struts instead of the cheaper aftermarket shocks which lasted only 3 months. To my dismay, the "new" OEM shocks were DOA. Absolutely worthless. Are these really OEM shocks or are they recycled? I wrote a comment to Pelican Parts in the customer service follow-up, but they haven't responded at all. I don't know if this is a Stabilus problem or a Pelican Parts problem. Either way, I am definitely not impressed.
