These seem to have about a six year lifespan. Solid for years and then the high beams start flashing on bumps and then they continue to decline. Seems like it would be easy to figure out where the wear is occurring and fix it but, I haven't been able to determine why they start to fail. I'm thinking about trying the aftermarket switch. I'm guessing I will just be changing out the switch more frequently. Not really a savings.

Porsche part, not classic Porsche quality
I purchased this in 8/2012 due to the bright switch shorting out and melting I've since installed a relay kit. It is now 5/2017 and either the contacts have bent a bit or the spring has failed - the brights come on in turns or over bumps.
Due to the price of this switch, I had hoped that it would last for more than 5 years.

Exactly same as original same wiring color makes It easy to install as most wires are individual not on a plastic connector.
