Use a flashlight to help locate the upper retaining screws

Keep those gloves hidden from public view and store essential items in there, too, like your C30 owner's manual and an air gauge for your tires

Complementary Modification:

Replace glove box light bulbs

A few projects on the Volvo C30 require removing the glove box, such as accessing the passenger side airbag or replacing the latch mechanism. It also makes access to the fuse panel easier. In this article, I'll go over the steps involved with removing the glove box. This is a pretty easy job and should take no more than 30 minutes.

Open the glove box and pull off the panel behind the waterfall console (green arrow).

Remove the rubber tray from the bottom of the glove box.

Remove the rubber tray from the bottom of the glove box. It just sits in place.

Pull off the trim piece (green arrow) covering the side of the dashboard.

Carefully pull the plastic rivet (green arrow) out of the vent piece and then pull the vent piece (yellow arrow) out of the air duct.

Loosen and remove the two T25 Torx screws (green arrows) at the bottom of the glove box.

Loosen and remove the three T25 Torx screws (green arrows) at the top edge of the glove box.

Loosen and remove the three T25 Torx screws (green arrows) at the top edge of the glove box. You may need to use a flashlight to get the end of the tool into the screw. Now, carefully pull the glove box out from under the dashboard.

Pull the electrical connector (green arrow) off the left hand side of the glove box.

Press the tabs (green arrows) on each electrical connector to the glove box lights and pull them off.

And here's the final result with the glove box removed.

And here's the final result with the glove box removed. Installation is the reverse of removal.
