In this article, I'll cover the basics of replacing the radiator fan on the Volvo C30. Removing the actual fan is rather easy, although it also requires you to remove the air filter housing. See our article on Air Filter Housing Removal for more information.

Press the tab (green arrow) on the electrical connector going to the fan and pull it apart.

Press the tab (green arrow) inward on the left side of the radiator fan and pull up.

Removing the radiator fan from the engine bay can be a little tricky.

Removing the radiator fan from the engine bay can be a little tricky. You may need to play with it a bit to get it freed up. Once removed, place the new fan assembly into position, making sure that the two side mounted latches engage correctly. All that's left afterwards is to hook up the electrical connection to the fan and re-install the air filter housing.
