Replacing the horns on the Volvo C30 is relatively easy and should take no more than an hour to perform. Accessing the horns requires you to remove the front bumper cover. See our article on Front Bumper Cover Removal for more information.

The horns (green arrows) on the Volvo C30 are located behind the front bumper cover, directly in front of the radiator.

Comments and Suggestions:
Makoy Comments: There is a faster, easier method: Remove the front grill. Then bend the horn you want to replace towards you, which will give you access to the 10mm nut on the back of the horn. Press the metal spring clip inward and pull the electrical connector off the horn. Loosen and remove the 10mm nut holding the bracket to the horn. When you are finished installing the new horn, simply bend the horn back into an upright position. I have personally replaced the low horn passenger side on my 2008 c30 and can verify that this method works, and took me approximately 20 minutes to perform.
