Install a turbo boost gauge

Over time, the plastic A pillar trim pieces on the Volvo C30 can become discolored, leaving them looking a bit out of place. The good news is that they can be replaced very easily. This is also beneficial if you plan on installing an auxiliary turbo boost gauge. Some companies make an A pillar gauge already pre-molded to house gauges. Note that the procedure for removing the trim is the same for both the left and right hand sides of the car.

Use a trim removal tool to pop the A pillar trim off the inside of the A pillar, starting at the top (green arrows).

Pull the A pillar trim down until all of the trim clips (green arrow) release from the A pillar.

Note the retaining strap on the inside of the pillar (green arrow).

Note the retaining strap on the inside of the pillar (green arrow). Squeeze the clip with a pair of pliers to release it from the trim and pull the panel out. 

When fitting the A pillar trim, refit the retaining strap and push the panel back on until all the trim clips are seated.
