Parts Required:

License plate light

Hot Tip:

Use a short screwdriver to loosen the retaining screws

Often times, its only when you get a fix-it ticket that you even know that a license plate light has burned out. The good news is that replacement is super easy and only requires a short, Phillips head screwdriver. In this article I'll show you how to change them out in less than 15 minutes.

Left and Right Bulb Holders - Loosen and remove the two Phillips head screws (green arrows) securing the bulb holder to the trunk lid.

Left and Right Bulb Holders: Squeeze the tabs (green arrows) on the electrical connector and pull it out of the bulb holder.

Left and Right Bulb Holders: Now pull the old light bulb (green arrow) out of the bulb holder and replace it with a new one.
