Parts Required:

Emergency flasher switch

Make sure the switch is plugged in correctly

Complementary Modification:

Replace turn signal bulbs

The emergency flasher switch contains the relay that controls power to the emergency flashers as well as the turn signals. It is pretty common for turn signal issues to be traced back to the switch. Replacement of the switch is easy and should take no more than five minutes.

Use a small pick to carefully pry the flasher switch (green arrow) out of the dashboard.

Pull the switch out enough to access the electrical connector (green arrow) and pull it off the switch.

When plugging the new switch in, make sure that the fingers (green arrows) line up correctly.

When plugging the new switch in, make sure that the "fingers" (green arrows) line up correctly. Then push the connector down fully. Now pop the new switch back into the dashboard.
