Removing Your Glove Box

Trim removal tool, T20 Torx

Parts Required:

New glove box

Be careful not to pinch wires when reinstalling

There are lots of reasons for removing the glove box, but the main one is so you can get access to replace your blower motor.

You will need to remove the front center console to remove the glove box. Please see our article on removing your front console.

This article will show you how to remove the glove box.

There are eight T20 Torx screws you will need to remove (red arrows).

Use a trim removal tool, open the glove box and gently pry (red arrow) the dash end plate away from the dash.

Use a T20 Torx and remove the lower outside screw (red arrow).

Remove the lower right T20 Torx screw from the center of the dash (red arrow).

Remove the three lower T20 Torx screws (red arrows).

Open the glove box and remove the three T20 Torx screws (red arrows).

Carefully lower (red arrow) the glove box and pull away from the dash.

Remove the sensor harness connection (red arrow) along with the connection for the light (yellow arrow).
