Various projects on the Porsche Cayenne require removing the front bumper cover; such as replacing the radiator or the Porsche crest. In this article, I'll go over the steps involved with removing the bumper cover. Keep it mind that it may seem a bit daunting, but the cover can be removed easily in under an hour. It's also helpful to have a helper nearby when you actually remove the bumper cover from the car.

Begin by removing the headlights from the front of the car. See our article on Changing Light Bulbs for more information.

From underneath the front of the car, remove the four T25 Torx bolts (green arrows) and also the two Phillips head screws (yellow arrows) shown here.

Remove the four T30 Torx screws (green arrows) holding the front edge of the bumper cover to the frame.

Both sides of car - Remove the seven T25 Torx screws (green arrows) holding the edge of the bumper cover to the wheel liner.

Both sides of car: Remove the lower T25 Torx screw still holding the turn signal housing in place.

Both sides of car: Carefully maneuver the turn signal housing out from behind the fender.

Both sides of car: Looking back towards the rear of the car, you'll see the last T25 Torx screw holding the edge of the bumper cover to the car.

Once the bumper cover is removed, press the tab on the front wiring harness connector (green arrow) to disconnect it.
Figure 10

Once the bumper cover is removed, press the tab on the front wiring harness connector (green arrow) to disconnect it. Now follow the water hoses for the headlight washers (yellow arrow) back to the connecting piece.

Press the tab on the hose connector inward and pull the hoses apart.
Figure 11

Press the tab on the hose connector inward and pull the hoses apart. Have a bucket handy to catch all of the water inside.

Shown here is the inside of the bumper cover.
Figure 12

Shown here is the inside of the bumper cover. You can see the tracks (green arrows) that slide on to the locating pins on the fenders. Additionally, you can see the mounting points for the screws (yellow arrows) that hold the cover on at the rear. It can be a little difficult to explain how these fit in. I have included this picture to better illustrate the location.

And here is the final result with the front bumper cover removed.
