There are a variety of jobs on the Cayenne that require removal of the under body trays. These trays serve to both keep components above them protected from road grime and water as well as improve the aerodynamics underneath the car. Removal is relatively simple and should take no more than 20 minutes.

You will want to begin removal at the front of the car.
Figure 1

You will want to begin removal at the front of the car. In thisPicture, you can see the locations of the fasteners that hold the front tray to the car. Remove the three 10mm screws (green arrows) that secure the tray. Next, remove the two Phillips head screws (yellow arrows) holding the side portions of the tray on. Lastly, remove the two 10mm screws up inside the wheel wells (blue arrows). Unfortunately, these screws are nearly impossible to get a clear picture of. Use a flashlight and follow the edge of the tray up inside the fender. You'll see one screw on either side. Now carefully pry each edge of the tray out from behind the fender and the tray will come off.

Shown here in the rear tray directly below the transmission.

Shown here in the rear tray directly below the transmission. This is held on with six 10mm screws (green arrows). Remove the screws and the tray will swing down towards the rear of the car. You'll need to unhook the tray from the spring clips at the rear.

Here is a close-up of the two spring clips (green arrows) that slide through the under tray at the rear as well as the hook on the rear of the tray (yellow arrow) Push the hook up off the support bar and then slide the tray off the two spring clips to remove it.

And here's the finished result with both trays removed.
