If you are going to be working on your own Mercedes you will want to know how to reset the maintenance reminders in the center of the dash. There is nothing worse than performing your own regularly scheduled maintenance and have to still stare at the reminder.

Resetting the reminder light is easy, simple, takes no tolls and can be done in a few minutes.

Begin by sitting in the car and closing the driver's door.

Make sure you see the mileage indicated in the center of the dash (red arrow).

If you do not see the mileage indicated use the display scroll button on the left side of the steering wheel to scroll through the readouts until you come to the mileage.

With the mileage showing use your finger tip and press the R button in the top center of the dash (red arrow) three times.

This should change the readout to show the voltage.

Next, use the up and down buttons on the left side of the steering wheel to scroll through the menu until you come to the service menu/service data (red arrow).

Scroll to the Confirmation option.

Press the button at the three o'clock position on the left side of the steering wheel.

Use the up and down buttons on the right side of the steering wheel to select the type of service you are clearing the reminder light for.
