Hazard, Door Lock and Headlight Switches Replacement

Headlight switch, hazard switch, door lock switch

The headlight switch is located on the left side of the steering wheel. An indicator of a problem with the headlight switch would be inoperable headlights with an illuminated instrument panel, you may also have a chime warning sound. The sound similar to when you leave you headlights on when exiting the vehicle. The hazard light and door lock switch are integrated into one unit. It is located in the center console and can be changed without removing any trim panels. You can also replace the bulb for the hazard / lock switch if needed. See the steps below.

Headlight Switch: Using a plastic prying tool, gently lever out the headlight switch from the dashboard.

Headlight Switch: Pull the switch down from the vent and away from the dashboard.

Headlight Switch: Pull the switch down from the vent and away from the dashboard. Disconnect the electrical connector by pressing the release tab (yellow arrow) and lifting the gray lever. The green arrows point to the retaining tabs and slots for the headlight switch. To install a new switch, reverse the steps.

Hazard Light and Door Lock Switch: Next, pull the switch far enough out of the center console to access the electrical connector.

Hazard Light and Door Lock Switch: Next, pull the switch far enough out of the center console to access the electrical connector. Disconnect the electrical connector by pulling it straight out of the switch. Remove the switch from the dashboard. To install the new switch, reverse the steps.

Hazard Light and Door Lock Switch Bulb: 
Hazard Light and Door Lock Switch: To replace the hazard/lock switch bulb, rotate the bulb holder 90° counterclockwise and then remove the bulb from the switch.

Hazard Light and Door Lock Switch Bulb: To replace the hazard/lock switch bulb, rotate the bulb holder 90 degrees counterclockwise and then remove the bulb from the switch. To install a new bulb, reverse the steps.
