The headlight and dimmer switches on the Audi A4 are not a typical high fail system on the car, but the nice thing is when they do fail you can change them both out in well under an hour. Not all vehicles come equipped with the ambient illumination deactivation or daytime running light switch (our project car did not) but it is a simple process of simply pushing it out from its mount once the headlight switch is removed.

The headlight switch (red arrow) is located on the left side of the steering wheel and if your vehicle is equipped with the ambient illumination deactivation or daytime running light switch it will be located just to the right of it.
