Some jobs on the C5 Audi A6 require removal of the front wheel well liners. Removal of the liners is basically simple; however it can be a bit frustrating due to the number of T25 Torx fasteners used to secure them in place.

Begin by jacking the car up and securing it on jack stands. See our article on Jacking up your C5 Audi A6 for more information. It is also a good idea to clean out the inside of the liners prior to removal. This makes things a bit easier when reinstalling. Also, be ready for dirt, sand and all kinds of grime to fall out from behind the liners.

Begin by removing the two T25 Torx screws shown in the picture (green arrows).

Now loosen and remove the four T25 Torx screws at the rear of the wheel liner (green arrows)

Don't forget the single T25 Torx screw up inside the inner fender (green arrow).

Now loosen and remove the seven T25 Torx screws at the front of the wheel liner as shown here (green arrows).

The last step is to carefully pull the wheel liners out from inside the front fenders.
