Some jobs on the C5 Audi A6 require removal of the rear wheel liners. Removal of the liners is basically simple, however it can be a bit frustrating due to the number of fasteners used to secure them in place.

Begin by jacking the car up and securing it on jack stands. See out article on Jacking up your C5 Audi A6 for more information. It is also a good idea to clean out the inside of the liners prior to removal. This makes things a bit easier when re-installing. Also, be ready for dirt, sand and all kinds of grime to fall out from behind the liners.

Begin by removing the T25 Torx screws (green arrows) around the front and center of the wheel liner as shown here.

Remove the two T25 Torx screws holding the rear wheel liner towards the rear.

Don't forget to remove the 10mm nut (green arrow) along the top edge of the rear wheel liner.

Now carefully pry the wheel liner out of the wheel well.

Now carefully pry the wheel liner out of the wheel well. You will have to work with the liner a bit to remove it. It helps to first remove the front edge (green arrow) out of the fender and slowly work it out heading towards the rear edge.

And here's the final result with the wheel liner removed.
