The service interval light/messages are used to remind you of upcoming service that needs to be performed on the car, such as an oil change. This light is triggered by the odometer when it reaches a certain number. This usually results in a "Service" message illuminating on the instrument cluster. The light should be reset after performing the appropriate service on the car. The procedure is easy and should take less than five minutes.
Remember your car may have been serviced before and parts replaced with different size fasteners used in the replacement. The sizes of the nuts and bolts we give may be different from what you have so be prepared with different size sockets and wrenches.
