Why no Water-cooled support?  I have gotten a lot of 'flaming' email over the past six months asking why we don't support the water-cooled cars.  Let me explain:

     Pelican Parts was founded over a year ago by Tom and myself (Wayne).  Between the two of us, we have owned several 356s, 914s, and 911s.   Therefore, our area of expertise lies mostly with the air-cooled cars.  Tom has worked at many local Porsche shops around here, and has a large knowledge base on the water-cooled cars, but we decided that it would be best to stick with what we knew best (the air-cooled engines) at least during the startup phase.

     Well, the response to our website has been much better than expected!  For the past six months, we have been working hard to build up the 356, 914, and 911 areas to a minimum level where the sections could be considered somewhat complete in nature.  To date, the 356, 914, and 911 sections are very extensive.  We are just beginning to work on the watercooled sections.

    There is only one person doing website development, me (Wayne).  I don't believe in doing anything if it's going to be done poorly.  I could start working on the water-cooled section right now, but it would be pretty lame for quite some time.  Our goal is to beef up the 911 section, finish the on-line catalog (for all cars, including the water-pumpers) and then start on the development of the water-cooled sections.

     So the bottom line is that we haven't forgotten about the water-cooled cars.  We still support and sell all the parts that you need for your car at great prices.  Give us a call at 1-888-280-7799, or email us if you need anything.
