- Planning to buy a Porsche? There are
many subtle problems that may exist with used cars on the market. Our experience in
dealing with these cars has left us with a knowledge of what to look for
- and what to avoid in a previously owned Porsche.

- Why come to us? In addition to being quite
knowledgeable about the particular elements of the cars, we are also a completely
unbiased source of information. We don't perform any service on cars, so our
opinion of the car in question is based solely on its own merits - uninfluenced by any
future potential service. For example, if we feel that the brakes on the car
need an overhaul, it's because they're worn - not because we want to generate some
business for a repair shop.

- What types cars do you inspect? We specialize
in 356s, 914s, and early 911s. We're quite familiar with the changes through each
of the years that these cars were produced, and can spot potential danger signs in a
car's history.

- What do you inspect on the car? The basic
inspection includes measurement and inspection of the brakes, checks on the
suspension for wear, motor mount checks, checks for accident damage, checks for
replacement panels, checks for lost or misplaced components, an engine compression test,
fluids check, road-test, bondo/bodywork inspection, and extensive rust search.

- What does it cost? The basic inspection costs
start at $75 for the services listed above. Additional inspections (leak-down test,
removal of heads & other equipment), may require additional time. Give us a call
if you want anything special looked at on the car.

- Can I watch? Of course! In fact,
we prefer it if you toss on a pair of coveralls (we'll provide a pair) and join us
underneath the car. We'll show you exactly what we like and dislike about your
potential purchase. We're always eager to impart some of our knowledge onto
others.
