Work, Research & Entrepreneurial Experience:

  Hughes Space and Communications (1995-1999)                 Los Angeles, CA
      Worked in the Mechanical Satellite Payload Integration area of the
    Government Electronics Business Unit.  Coordinated all mechanical and
    packaging design as Responsible Engineering Authority for two of four
    electronics units on the NASA TDRS Transponder unit.  Coordinated 
    the mechanical elements of the Milstar LDR SHF Upgrade feasibility study and 
    redesign effort.  Speeded the development of electronics packaging design 
    using PC-Based 3D Modeling tools.  Accepted and developed the role of 
    Director of Recruiting within the Systems Engineering group.  Identified the 
    need, and took responsibility for the planning and development of PC-based 
    CAD policies within the Government Electronics Business Unit.  Currently a 
    member of the mechanical emergency response team created to support off-site 
    systems integration problems and anomalies.  Currently posses DOD SECRET and 
    other program specific clearances.
     
  MIT Laboratory for Manufacturing and Productivity (1994-1995)    Cambridge, MA
      Worked with AMP Incorporated on the design and development of a flexible 
    manufacturing system for the assembly of electronic components.  Held a 
    fully funded Research Assistantship working with Professor David Hardt and 
    Dr. Andre Sharon within the MIT Manufacturing Institute.  Single-handedly 
    designed, constructed, programmed, and tested a fully functioning 
    PC-controlled assembly module for manufacturing connectors.  Video and

  Highland Computers & Consulting (1993-1995)                     Somerville, MA
      Started Highland Computers in January 1993, selling used and refurbished 
    computers and associated equipment.  Specialized in Macintosh and UNIX 
    equipment and acquired a large customer base.  Revenues for fiscal 1994 
    exceeded $75K.
     
  MIT Laboratory for Manufacturing and Productivity (1993-1994)    Cambridge, MA
      Worked with Professor Emanuel Sachs on the design and improvement of the 
    micro-constructive Three Dimensional Printing Process (STL).  Completed a 
    Bachelor's thesis on the analysis of ballistic impact mechanisms on ceramic 
    powderbeds.
     
  MIT Solar Electric Vehicle Racing Team (1992-1994)               Cambridge, MA
      Designed and implemented a fail-safe four point latching system for the 
    gull-wing doors on the commuter car Aztec.  Gained a practical working 
    knowledge of CNC lathes, milling machines, and carbon fiber composite 
    manufacturing techniques.
     
  Credit Lyonnais Securities [USA] Inc. (Summer `90, `91, `92)      New York, NY
      Held a summer internship as an Assistant Systems Analyst at Credit
    Lyonnais Securities, a stock brokerage house located on Wall Street in New 
    York City.  Gained experience in financial markets and backoffice 
    accounting / software techniques.
     
     
Personal Information:

  Former Treasurer of Pi Tau Sigma, President of MIT Brass Ensemble.  Played 
trumpet in Nassau All-County Ensembles for five years, New York All-State for 
two years.  Former member of the MIT Festival Jazz Band, MIT Brass Ensemble, 
MIT Sailing Team and Musical Theater Guild.  Member of the Oceanside Fire 
Department Band.   Enjoy skiing, sailing, running, hiking, playing volleyball, 
and restoring classic automobiles.  500+ hours machine shop experience.
