Your vehicle's ignition system is as important as any other on your engine. Poorly maintained cars often suffer from easily fixable problems. Regularly replacing your cap, rotor, points, and plugs will do wonders for your engine's performance. For more information, see our Pelican Technical Article on Ignition System Troubleshooting.

Ignition Cable Set

This set contains new ignition wires for your car. Ignition wires can build up internal resistance over time which causes them to become less efficient and they can also crack. New ignition wires can sometimes greatly improve your engine's performance.

Ignition Coil

The ignition coil provides voltage for the car's ignition system.

Distributor Cap

The distributor cap is used to provide voltage from the coil down through the center of the cap down to the individual terminals, out to the spark plugs, thus causing ignition. Distributor caps should be replaced at every major tune up.

Ignition Rotor

The distributor rotor rotates inside the distributor cap, thus providing voltage briefly to each cylinder. If you see corrosion on the edge of the rotor, it's time for a new one.
