Comments: I bought this for a 914, but didn't find a reference to what it was for until I looked at 911 references. pointers to instructions would have come in handy.

Comments: If you want to rebuild a 914 or Early 911 transmission, you have to have this to align the shift forks.
Shift Fork Jig
The shift fork jigs are used to align the forks during a transmission rebuild. It's not recommended that you attempt a rebuild of your transmission without the proper jig. If you assemble the transmission without using these jigs, then you may find that you may have difficulty shifting through gears later on.
Shift Fork Jigs
Rebuilding your transmission? Don't want to pay big bucks for the factory shift fork tooling? You'll do a little dance when you see the savings you get with our repro shift fork jig instead. The plate holds the gear stacks and the carrier for proper alignment and precision.
