Pauter offers connecting rods for your 356 that are sized to accept Chevrolet bearings (modified by Pauter specifically for this application). This eliminates the difficulties of finding the correct Porsche bearings and then dealing with their inherently flawed design and inferior materials. Pauter also takes this opportunity to increase the size of the rod bolts, providing you with extra insurance against hardware failure. This connecting rod option requires machining of your original crankshaft which Pauter is happy to do (though machining specs will be given with purchase of these rods if you elect to have your machine shop undertake the modifications). Give one of our sales representatives a call to discuss this option for your engine rebuild!
Pauter 4340 Rods for 356 with Journals Sized for Chevrolet Bearings and Upsized Hardware, Set of 4, Includes Specially Machined Bearings As Well As Rod Bolts, (requires custom machining of crankshaft, etc.)
