SmartTOP Features:
Comfortable One-Touch function: A short push on a button operates the roof automatically
Enables operation of the roof while the vehicle is moving at slow speeds (max 25mph) - Adds convenient one-touch if the roof already operates up to 30mph by factory default

Secure speed control mechanism automatically locks the roof against operation at higher speeds
Allows full operation of the back triangle windows (which are usually locked when the top is open)
Solves the window problem specific to the 2003+ 996. This means, with SmartTOP, the car can be completely closed - the top will close AND THE WINDOWS, too.
Even with a broken e-brake signaling switch (which will inhibit roof-operation permanently in the original condition) the smartTOP controller will work just fine. The switch does not need to be replaced.
Operate the soft-top with your original factory-supplied remote-key(s), no reprogramming of the key(s) or the car necessary. Selectable One-Touch operation which will, once started, complete the soft-top cycle automatically by itself.
Selectable "Lock-In" feature locks the doors once you start the vehicle or start moving. Contrary to the original Porsche Lock-In feature which can only be enabled or disabled at the dealership, the remoteKEY lets you decide if you want to enable the feature. Even better, if you have it enabled, the remoteTOP will also UNLOCK the doors when you switch the engine off - a detail the Porsche engineers seemingly forgot.
Selectable "Red Clip" Mode, which will simulate the well-known "Red Clip" when the top is down. In other words, enable the passenger cabin ultra-sound motion detector alarm when the top is OPEN.
Comfort window control allows you to use the electric windows for 15 minutes after you turn the ignition off. Also enables window control for 15 minutes after you have unlocked your car with the remote controller. This allows you to walk up to your 911, unlock it, sit inside and IMMEDIATELY use the power-windows, no need to put the key into ignition first.
