Valve Springs |
| When rebuilding your heads, you should always replace the springs. We have seen broken springs come close to destroying a recently rebuilt motor. New springs are inexpensive insurance against catastrophic failure. |

Camshafts |
| When rebuilding your 928 engine, always check to make sure your cams are not worn beyond useful use. Cams can sometimes be reground, however, this is not generally recommended as you can never achieve the exact same grind pattern that was originally present. |
