Pressure Plates

OE Sachs Pressure Plates

Original Equipment Manufacturer for Porsche, these Sachs pressure plates are the industry standard for replacement of your 914's clutch. The pressure plate is what holds the clutch disc against the flywheel and allows the disc to transfer power from the engine to the transmission by essentially clamping it to the flywheel. If the pressure plate is old or failing, the clamping force may not be enough to transfer all of the power from the flywheel to the transmission without having the clutch 'slip.' A worn out clutch disc may also contribute to the slipping of the clutch. For more information on the design and operation of Pressure Plates, see the Sachs Info Sheet on Pressure Plates.

OE Sachs Clutch Discs

There are two types of clutch discs available for the 914-4. The stock disc with four springs, and the early 911 disc with six. The 911 disc will give you a much better feel for only a few more dollars, and is a direct replacement for the 914 disc.
