A poor ground connection can cause many problems with your electrical system. Be sure to replace yours if it is either old or frayed. Many times, various electrical problems on the 914 can be solved simply by replacing the ground strap. Over the years, heat and exposure to the elements makes the ground strap build up internal resistance, and prevent proper grounding of the vehicle's electrical system.
