Synchro Hub Removal Tool |
| This tool helps you to remove the synchro hubs (dog teeth) from the gear sets. Without it, you may need to cut off the synchro hub from the gear. Note: not to be used to remove the neighbor's dog's teeth from your ankle. |

Sliders |
| The sliders are the actual gears that slide up and down the shafts and engage the synchro hubs. Years of neglect by the previous owner may cause irreversible damage to both the synchro hubs and the sliders. These two gears grinding together are what you hear when the transmission doesn't shift properly. If you don't replace your synchro rings when crunching begins, you will damage and need to replace your sliders. |

| Transmission Main Shaft Seals |
| The Main Shaft seal prevents transmission oil from leaking out the driveshaft into the flywheel/clutch area. This gets particularly messy when the flywheel starts swinging oil around like a Texas twister! Note: The original seal has an additional outer flap which only makes it appear to be larger, once removed you'll see it to be the same size as the new replacement seal. |
