| Porsche 914 Fuel Injection - Page 1 |
| In this section you will find fuel injection parts for your classic 914. The Porsche 914 was one of the first mass-produced cars to be equipped with electronic fuel injection. There were two types used, D-Jetronic, which was used on the 1.7 and 2.0 cars and L-Jetronic which was used on the 1.8 cars. The fuel injection systems can present a number of problems, some simple fixes and some more complex to diagnose, It's a good idea to look through Pelican's technical articles to familiarize yourself with the fuel injection systems prior to undertaking a project. Fuel Injectors |
| Engine not getting enough fuel? Injectors a bit clogged from bad fuel and filters? Replace them with genuine Bosch OEM injectors. With most of the 914's out there reaching 30 years old, it's a fair bet that the fuel injectors in these cars have seen better days. The good news is that Pelican can supply you with new Bosch fuel injectors to keep your 914 running. Be sure to order a set of fuel injector seals at the same time you replace your fuel injectors. |

Fuel Injector Seals |
| Believe it or not, these small seals play an important role in how your 914 runs. Old, cracked or brittle seals can cause fuel to leak out of the intake runner, causing a potential catastrophe. They can also cause vacuum leaks that can cause your engine to run lean. These are required to maintain a good seal from the injector to the manifold. |

D-Jetronic Pressure Sensors |
| The pressure sensor is the key component of the MPC (Manifold Pressure Control) D-Jetronic fuel injection system. Its function is to measure the amount of vacuum being drawn into the engine. Based on the amount of vacuum being drawn, it sends a electrical signal to the fuel injection computer. Based on this signal, as well as the two temperature sensors mounted in the system, it controls the fuel-air mixture. When these sensors fail, they typically cause the engine to run rich at all times and lose power under acceleration. |

Fuel Injection Trigger Points |
| These are the trigger points that are located inside your ignition distributor. Often overlooked by owners when diagnosing your system, these points send the pulse to fire the fuel injectors. Replace your fuel injection points if you find that your injectors are not firing correctly. |
