Vellios Bulkhead Motor Mount 914-6
Converting to a 914-6? There are basically two types of mounts you can use. A quick six mount bar, or the bulkhead mount. The quick six is cheaper, but also is weaker and doesn't allow you any flexibility in the placement of the motor. You also need to purchase/modify your shifter bar because the quick-six bar interferes with it. An improved mount is the bulkhead mount designed by the George Vellios Company. This mount both bolts to the firewall, and is welded for reinforcement. The welding takes about 15 minutes for an expert, and may be performed after the engine is installed. No relocation of any stock 914 equipment is required. The motor can be positioned on the mount for increased flexibility. Installing a motor with CIS requires this mount or some other custom-made mount. Click here for a picture of the mount installed in Wayne's 914-6 conversion. The mount uses standard 911 motor mounts (priced below) and standard mounting hardware.

Here's a newly designed motor mount that makes improvements in design and cost. The design changes will allow installers to use the mount on early or late cars, have access for the wiring loom and be able to set the mount height to accommodate carbs., MFI, CIS or DME without cutting the bulkhead piece. This mount is designed to make the installation process a little more "backyard" friendly for the guys doing home based conversions. Comes complete with mounting hardware pictured below. We have rarely seen a set of original motor mounts that are not cracked. Worn mounts will cause sloppy shifting, and also cause the drivetrain to shift when accelerating. The sport mounts are a direct replacement for the original 911 mounts, and are Pelican Recommended for your 914/6 conversion.

After years of non-existence 914-6 Steel Engine Sheet Metal is now available! Manufactured from 18 gauge thick steel, it duplicates the factory sheet metal down to every contour and sheetmetal screw hole. Comes "in the raw" to give you the choice of either painting it the color you desire or powdercoating. NOTE: May have some light surface oxidation and some fitting may be required. Vent holes are not pre-drilled. Professional installation is recommended.

Oil Tank - Factory Original 914-6
Factory original tanks are copper-plated steel with a coating of black paint. They are very light, and fit perfectly in the left fender of the 914. The bare tank requires the filler neck, cap, dipstick, and filter console before it can be used with a six cylinder engine. You also need to obtain a set of factory oil lines.
