A lot of people try to cut corners because they either don't have the tool they need, or they don't even know that it exists! Having the right tool for the job saves time, money, and wasted effort. A job that can take 4 hours without the right tool, can take a mere few minutes. You're already saving lots of money by doing the work yourself, spend some money and get the tool that you need. Once it's in your collection, you will not know how you got along without it! |
|
| Clutch Alignment Tool |
| The clutch alignment tool is used to center the clutch disc with respect to the flywheel when mounting your pressure plate. You may have tremendous difficulty re-mating the transmission and the engine if the disc is misaligned with the pressure plate upon assembly. |

| 12-Point/12mm Flywheel Socket |
| The flywheel bolts have a very shallow 12-point star pattern on them (used to apply a very high torque without slipping), that ironically slips all the time. If they strip, then you might have to grind them off, possibly destroying your flywheel, and possibly melting your flywheel seal in one big expensive operation. Make sure that you only use the flywheel bolt socket tool when removing or installing these tricky bolts. |
