Steering Wheel Recovering Kits
Is your steering wheel looking like it yearns for the years when it was new? Old threads combined with worn out leather, can give your interior a weathered look that is not too pretty on the eyes. The kits come complete with thread and needle. Available for both the four and three spoke steering wheels used from 1974-89. Available in black only. Please note that this is a do-it-yourselfer project, but the recovering process does take a lot of patience and some skill, as the leather must be tightly stretched around the wheel as you stitch it.

Factory Steering Wheels, Horn Pads and Parts
This is what you stare at when you're sitting in your car at night in your PJs, wishing you had the engine back in and were driving it (or am I the only one who's crazy?). Horn pads do so much to improving the looks of your interior. How about adding a Porsche crest to the center? The 356 hood crests are almost the exact proper size for attachment to the center of your horn pad. Improve the appearance significantly! Or, you can update your 1974-79 911 with a later-style steering wheel, either the 911SC style or the 911 Carrera Style. All three are interchangeable, and can tailor the look of your car to your particular tastes.

Steering Wheel Bearing Qwik-Fix Sleeve
Is your steering shaft loose, or does it vibrate and rattle while you are driving? It could be that your steering wheel bearing is worn out. Replacing this bearing (sold above) is a lengthy and difficult process, however, there is a Pelican Parts qwik-fix bushing that can be installed in about a half hour. The part that actually fails is a plastic bushing located inside the bearing. This qwik-fix part replaces that bushing and restores the steering wheel bearing close to its original specifications. For complete installation procedures, check out our Pelican Technical Article on Steering Wheel Shaft Bearing Sleeve Qwik-Fix Installation. Manufacturer: Porsche OEM |
