Oil Sump Parts |
| Engine Oil Drain Valve |
| Forget messy oil changes! This drain valve is perfect for oil changes. Simply release the safety catch on the valve, and pull the lever. Hot, messy oil comes out when you want it and where you want it. Don't have a big enough container underneath the oil tank? Just shut the valve off and go get another one. This ingenious device is one of those things that should have come stock on the 911s when they were new. We don't recommend using these on the bottom of the 1965-83 911 engine (use on oil tank only), because of potential ground clearance problems. |

Oil Thermostats |
| There are two types of thermostats used on the 911s. All 911 engines have an internally mounted thermostat that controls the flow of oil to the internal oil cooler. For cars with an external oil cooler, there is an external thermostat located just in front of the right rear wheel. This thermostat prevents cold, dense oil from potentially damaging the front-mounted oil cooler. If your internal oil cooler doesn't seem to be receiving too much oil, you might have to replace your internal thermostat. Likewise, the springs and pistons may need renewing in the external thermostat that controls the front cooler. If you are installing a cooling kit for the first time, then you might want to consider installing our aftermarket thermostat in place of the more expensive factory one. |

| Thermostat Saver |
| If you have recently removed the oil lines from your thermostat, you may have found that the threads that attach the oil line to your thermostat have been removed with the oil line! Don't despair, our 'thermostat saver' is a small cap that that you can reattach to the thermostat and then attach the oil lines. No need to purchase a new thermostat because the steel lines have gummed up the soft aluminum threads. Simply install the thermostat saver with a bit of Loctite, and you should now be able to attach and remove oil lines without any fears. |
