| K&N High Performance Oil Filters |
| The K&N Performance Gold® Oil Filter has been constructed from the ground up to satisfy the high performance needs of race car owners and drivers, as well as the average vehicle owner who wants the very best oil filter available. Our oil filter's efficiency rating meets or exceeds the requirements of high performance automotive engine builders. The heavy duty construction provides over 550 PSI hydrostatic burst*, and helps reduce the risk of rock and stone damage. The real quality isn't just on the outside... the inner filter element traps contaminant as small as 10 to 20 microns in size. We use metal top end caps instead of paper to ensure that no unfiltered oil can get back into the system. The solid construction allows for oil flow rates between 12-16 gpm (depending on filter size), and is unaffected by racing fuels. All K&N Performance Gold® Oil Filters are manufactured to exacting engineering standards. They are covered by a limited warranty to be free from defects in materials and workmanship when installed and replaced using engine and equipment manufacturers recommended service interval. |

FilterMag |
Snap one on today! FilterMAG achieves the next evolution in magnetic lubricant filtration. FilterMag's patented technology can withstand the force of oil flow and retains contaminants of all sizes, even smaller than 2 microns. Is 2 microns small? Normal table salt is 100 microns in size.
Your current oil filter can only trap particles that are 25 microns and larger. Every 2 1/2 seconds, one quart of oil flows through an engine's oil filter. Oil filter manufacturers don't want you to know that abrasive wear accounts for about 90% of failures due to contamination and 70% of all engine wear and sludge is caused by contaminants not trapped and held by your typical automotive oil filter. The patented design of focusing rare earth magnet energy into an oil filter is very much like a laser focuses light. Depending on the filter size and usage FilterMAG focuses from 110 to over 1000 pounds of magnetic energy to the filter.
What is a rare earth magnet? All metallic elements with an atomic number between 57 and 71 are classified as rare earth. These rare earth magnets can produce more than 4,100 surface gauss in a tube magnet circuit compared to 1,000 and 2,000 gauss for standard Alnico and Ceramic magnet. (Gauss is a unit measuring electromagnetic force.) FilterMag's rare earth magnets are generally 5 to 10 times stronger than other magnetic filtration devices using Ceramic magnets. The newest generation of rare earth magnets consists of neodymium iron boron. (Neodymium is number 60 on the periodic table.)
What makes the FilterMAG system work? The FilterMAG's outer cover or flux band insures direct contact with the filter and by placing the magnet segments directly on the flux band, circuits the magnetism to drastically increases the magnetic energy by redirecting the power back into the oil filter and not back into the surrounding air. The heart of FilterMAG patented design system starts with unique precision ground and arced Neodymium magnets aligned in North and South series to generate the greatest amount of force to trap and hold metal particles out of the oil flow.
Just install the reusable FilterMAG on your new oil filter and consider FilterMAG as life insurance for your vehicle.
Industry tests found that removing particles 15 microns in size reduced abrasive wear by 70%. These tests also confirm that removal of particles down to 2 microns virtually stops the abrasion wear cycle. Isn't it time to make your oil filter really work? |

Oil Return Tubes |
These oil return tubes often return oil to the ground instead of your engine case. The tubes often get damaged underneath the car and begin to leak after years of service. Replacement is a relatively easy process. For more information, please see our Pelican Technical Article, Replacing your 911 Oil Return Tubes. Use new oil return tubes and seals on your new motor for the prevention of future oil leaks.
The aluminum versions are made in America, and are machined from aircraft aluminum bar stock in just two pieces - no glued or pressed-on ends like other brands that may be prone to leaking. |

Oil Pumps & Hardware |
| Worried about keeping your engine cool? Replace your oil pump with a later-style Carrera oil pump, and improve circulation within your engine. When rebuilding your engine, if you need a new pump, you'll need to replace it with the Carrera pump, as the earlier ones used from 1976-on are no longer available (part numbers 911.107.008.01 and 930.107.008.02. Beginning in March 1983, newer style oil pumps with fixed pick-up screens were used in all 911s. Engines manufactured from 1976 (#6460672-on Type 911.82, #6460458-on Type 911.84, and #6860021-on Type 930.51) must now use the 1984-89 Carrera Oil Pump. Oil pumps for pre-1976 engines are still available. The upgrade also requires a new oil sump plate, upgraded relief pistons and springs, and the engine case needs to have its oil galleys machined. When rebuilding your engine, if you want to replace your older pump with a Carrera pump, make sure that you use our Carrera Oil Pump Update Kit to install it. Update kits come with new pressure relief springs and pistons, updated oil sump plate, and mounting hardware. |
