| MSD CD Ignition Unit |
| The MSD-6200 unit helps increase performance by triggering multiple sparks over the combustion period. Standard ignition systems fire a single spark that must propagate across the swirling gases in the combustion chamber. The MSD-6000 unit fires many sparks continuously across the 20 degrees of crank angle rotation in order to provide complete combustion within the chamber. HP increases of at least 10 percent can be achieved simply by installing this unit. The MSD-6420 comes with an adjustable rev limiter adjustable in 200 rpm increments. Perma-Tune CD Ignition Units |
The Perma-Tune CD units are a great replacement for the stock 911 ignition system. When installing a Perma-Tune unit, make sure that you also install a new Bosch coil. The Perma-Tune units are also available with or without coil circuitry built-in. Having the circuitry built-in to the box increases performance, efficiency, and ignition system reliability.
The Model 911 Perma-Tune is designed to replace the stock ignition box on all Porsche cars from 1974 to 1986 and will bolt up and plug in to the same location as the stock system. The Model 911 not only replaces the stock system, it is a performance upgrade boosting the spark energy by a factor of three. This increase in spark energy allows your engine to make more power with the same amount of fuel. Spark plug gaps can be increased (spark plug gaps over 0.60" are not recommended but are possible), solid core copper spark plug wire can be used and fuel mixture can be adjusted to increase performance. | Perma-Tune Ignition Repair Harnesses |
| This repair harness replaces the brittle and cracked ignition system harness on 911 and 911SC cars. A defective engine-to-chassis ground wire, often does engine wiring harness damage. Overheating can also damage the ignition green signal wire. Faulty grounds can damage the coil wires. The Perma-Tune replacement harness can quickly and reliably repair this damage. NOTE: These repair harnesses are special order only and may take a few days to get in from Perma-Tune. |
