This electronic ignition unit is sometimes referred to as the industry upgrade standard. The Allison/Crane unit works on an optical light sensor and detector, and eliminates the need for dwell adjustment. Once the engine timing is set, it should hold for an extended period of time. The result is better performance, and better fuel efficiency, as you can be assured that your car is running at peak performance.
