|  | | | Porsche 911 & Carrera Charging System - Page 1 | Alternators | Alternators often fail from age and misuse. Disconnecting the battery when the car is running can cause loads on the diodes that will cause premature failures. Overzealous charging of the battery can also cause diode failure. Replace your alternator with one of our good quality Rebuilt units. The rebuilt units have new bearings, new windings, and also new diodes. Call for current core charge. Check the alternator in your car prior to ordering your replacement.
For older applications that still have the original alternator (with the external regulator), check the factory technical bulletin on the conversion (page 1, page 2).
