	The Fade Stop Brake Cooler (FSBC) is mounted between the brake pad and the caliper piston. The FSBC is a “drop-in” part that is as easy to install as a new set of pads. It conducts heat away from the caliper pistons to heat sinks located externally through a thermally conductive dual-metal composite developed specifically for high performance brake systems. Testing revealed more than a 20% decrease in peak caliper piston temperature as well as significantly quicker cool-down times--as compared to uncooled calipers under the same thermal load. The data shown here clearly shows how the decrease in temperature could mean the difference between brake failure (due to boiling the brake fluid) and having a safe margin. The FSBC also extends the life of the brake fluid under extreme conditions. The FSBCs require additional clearance to fit onto your factory brake calipers, therefore wheel spacers are required. 911s with M, S, or A calipers up to 1983 require 6.5mm (1/4") wheel spacers. 911 Carreras (1984-89) with 'wide A' calipers require 10mm wheel spacers.
