Factory Late Model Carrera External Oil Cooler |
| External Oil Cooler Thermoswitches |
| Make sure that your fan is working well with a new thermoswitch. This switch senses when the oil temperature gets hotter than a certain amount, and then turns on the fan. The stock switch turns on around 240-degrees Fahrenheit (110-degrees Celsius), but you can replace it with a cooler one that turns on at a lower temperature. Some slight wiring modifications may be required in order to use the cooler thermoswitches (they have different connectors on their ends). |

| 26mm to 30mm Metric Oil Fitting Adapter |
Simplify the retrofit of later 911 motors into early cars! 911s through '71 and all 914/6 cars have 26mm fittings on the oil tank. This presents a problem when retrofitting a '72 and later 911 motor that use 30mm oil hoses.
Elephant Racing now provides us with the optimal solution; 26mm-to-30mm adapters! One side has 26mm female threads and connects directly to the 26mm male fitting on your pre-72 911 or 914/6 oil tank. The other side has male 30mm threads and connects directly to 30mm female threaded hose ends.
NOTE: Can also be used to adapt a 30mm Carrera style oil cooler to pre-'72 26mm oil lines. |

Elephant Racing Widemouth Oil Coolers |
Porsche installed the highly-efficient Carrera oil cooler on the 1984-1988 3.2 liter Carreras. Similar coolers are available from aftermarket suppliers, but they are not the same. Aftermarket fittings are a flow-restricting 14.5 mm internal diameter, much smaller than original factory parts!
Elephant Racing solves the problem! They deliver the same Carrera style cooler with their own custom "Widemouth" fittings that have a 17.5mm internal diameter. The increased fitting size results in nearly 50% greater flow capacity.
The cooler has tabs for mounting to factory brackets and can be used with the factory stone guard. Fittings are factory metric type. |

Center-Mount 911 Oil Cooler Kit  |
| Add a center-mounted oil cooler to 1965-89 911 for maximum cooling. This is a great solution for race cars and 3.6 liter conversions. For connection to existing brass oil lines in the front fender, either factory or finned oil lines. If your car has no external cooler now, you will need to purchase necessary lines and hoses. Fittings are high-flow factory-type 30mm throughout, no restrictive AN fittings or adapters are used. Don't settle for inferior solutions! Note: A suitable front bumper/valance is required, not included. STD-172 coolers require 26 inches of width in the front valance. Installer will need to fabricate mounting brackets based on valance and space requirements. For mounting in series with a fender-mount cooler you must substitute 1 90 degree hose end for 1 straight hose end. Call for details. Hose is cut-to-length based on final oil cooler mounting position and hose-ends crimped on. RS air duct is a highly recommended addition to this kit. |
