| WEVO Semi-Solid Engine/Transmission Mounts |
The WEVO Semi-Solid Engine Mount is the first non-solid aftermarket engine mount developed specifically for Porsche 911 applications (1965-89). Factory rubber mounts allow too much deflection, causing drivability to feel somewhat imprecise. Solid aftermarket mounts increase responsiveness by fixing the engine location, but the metal-to-metal contact between the chassis and the engine is almost too rigid - which could ultimately affect the reliability of the vehicle.
Instead of compliant rubber or solid metal, the WEVO SS Engine Mounts utilize special elastomeric pillows to absorb vibration while minimizing drivetrain deflection. This exclusive design is thus the best of both worlds - providing a near-rigid engine mounting system while maintaining a quiet and comfortable ride. The Black Pillows are 15 points softer on the Shore A scale for durometer readings than the original "Blue" Pillows. The Black pillows function in the same way as the Blue pillows although they allow slightly more deflection under similar loads the advantage is lower noise transfer through the SS mount module.
Black pillows are recommended for street use or occasional track use. For pure track work, Blue pillows are recommended. Blue and Black pillows can also be mixed in any combination including mixing them within a single mount body. This provides you with the flexibility to suit your exact needs. |

| Poly-Graphite Engine/Transmission Mount Inserts |
Now you don't have to completely replace your factory motor mounts to maximize performance. These poly-graphite motor mount inserts will do the trick! Constructed using an 88 DRM compound, the poly-graphite provides a more rigid union between the chassis and drivetrain while allowing enough compliance for a comfortable ride. All you need to do is press out the old rubber from the mount housings, and sandwich in these new poly inserts!

| Planning on rebuilding your engine? You shouldn't even think of it without the proper engine stand. There are cheap, generic engine stands available that will fit your engine with a bit of modifications, but in order to have a firm support of the entire weight of the motor, you should use one specifically designed for the case itself. This fixture is made of heavy-duty steel, and has five arms that can support the full weight of even a complete 930 motor with fuel injection and exhaust! This engine holding fixture can be used with the yokes on most regular engine stands, or you can use the Heavy Duty Clamp which will allow you to bolt the stand to a sturdy (very, very sturdy) table top. The diameter of the shaft is 60mm. This engine holding fixture will fit any model 911/964/993, 912, 356, 930, 914 and any air-cooled VW engine. Also fits 996/997 Turbo Engines including GT2 & GT3. |
