Most BMW's are equipped with handy brake pad wear sensors that detect when the pads are worn down. Make sure that your sensors are working properly so that you don't damage your rotors, or create unsafe driving conditions. It's cheap insurance against brake failures. NOTE: These sensors are quite fragile and require care during installation. Some performance brake pads do not have provisions for wear sensors like original pads do.
