Wheel Care
If your wheels are non-coated polished aluminum, they can be cleaned using MOTHERS® Mag & Aluminum Polish. To determine the coating, look at your wheel in a bright light - if you see a prism-like effect (a rainbow hue of colors) then your wheel is probably clear coated. The best way to be sure is to test MOTHERS® Mag & Aluminum Polish on a small area of the rim. If you do not get black residue immediately, STOP! Your wheel is clear coated and MOTHERS® Wheel Mist® Multi Purpose should be used instead.

Hub Caps, Painted and Clear Coated Wheels

1. Make sure your wheels are cool. Liberally spray MOTHERS® Wheel Mist® Multi Purpose (yellow bottle) on the wheel's surface. Use a small brush to agitate any stubborn spots.

2. Allow product to stand for two minutes, then rinse and dry.

3. Repeat for each wheel.

Non-Coated Wheels

1. Make sure your wheels are both cool and clean. Apply some MOTHERS® Mag & Aluminum Polish to a clean rag and rub a small section of your rim in a circular motion. Your rag should begin to turn black (if not, stop immediately - lack of a black residue indicates that your wheel might be clear coated). As you clean, turn your rag frequently. The surface is polished when you can no longer see fresh black on your cloth.

2. Repeat step 1 above on another section of wheel - no more than 1/3 of the wheel at a time - and do not allow the MOTHERS® Mag & Aluminum Polish to dry.

Wire Hub Caps, Chrome and Wire Wheels

1. Make sure your wheels are cool. Liberally spray MOTHERS® Wheel Mist® (red bottle) on the wheel's surface. Use a small brush to agitate any stubborn spots. Allow product to stand for NO MORE than two minutes, then rinse and dry.

2. Repeat for each wheel.

Tire Cleaning and Protection

1. Saturate a clean cloth with PRESERVES Protectant and apply liberally to your sidewalls. Allow to soak in.

2. Rub the treated surface down for a clean, natural shine.
