GSR Autosport has spent years racing and driving these cars hard, and kept running into the same frustrating and dangerous problem of failing throttle pedals. The stock pedal uses a flimsy plastic hinge and thin plastic ribs - 2 separate failure points that both fatigue and break - each resulting in a car that is unsafe to drive. This problem is accentuated by the rigors of track use and heel/toe shifting, but is just as common on street driven cars as well. The factory part is sold only as a complete pedal box assembly.

The pedal cluster takes a lot of abuse. Rainwater, or brake fluid from a leaky master cylinder has a tendency to collect at the bottom of the driver's footwell, deteriorating both the bushings and cable components of the cluster.
