StopTech Big Brake Kits

StopTech Big Brake Kits exceed stock performance in two key areas: First, larger rotors increase heat capacity, allowing a driver to brake harder stop-after-stop with reduced chance of fade. Second, stiffer calipers and stainless steel lines reduce system compliance, providing consistent pedal feel and confidence-inspiring responsiveness.

The key, however, is to increase heat capacity and reduce compliance without upsetting a vehicle's stock front-to-rear brake torque ratio. That is why StopTech developed the Balanced Brake Upgrade design philosophy, which precisely apportions front and rear braking resources while factoring in vehicle weight transfer under braking.

Every StopTech Balanced Big Brake Kit is engineered to produce that optimal balance using caliper bores and pistons specifically selected and tested for each vehicle application. This is what sets StopTech apart from off-the-shelf solutions.

In contrast, a brake upgrade that adds too much front torque (as many do), will reduce your car's ability to maximize the traction available from all four tires, robbing you of performance. In addition, a system that uses too many pistons or pistons that are too large will make the brake pedal much more difficult to modulate, limiting a driver's control of brake input.

StopTech 2-Piece AeroRotor BBK

StopTech AeroRotor Rings


The patented 2-piece AeroRotor assembly uses uniquely designed and patented AeroVanes inside the disc to optimize airflow through the rotor. This improved directional design minimizes turbulence and flows up to 61 percent more air than any other rotor tested. The result is up to 80 percent better airflow over original equipment rotors and 10-30 percent better airflow than other directional vane racing rotors currently available. Better airflow equals better cooling, and better cooling means less fade and better overall brake system performance.

StopTech AeroRotors also feature a proprietary alloy chemistry. By adding molybdenum to the gray iron, carefully targeting a narrow range of hardness and tensile strength values, and controlling the cooling rate of the rotor after casting, StopTech produces a friction ring with added crack resistance as well as improved functionality.

StopTech Trophy BBK
Intended for ultra-high performance street use. They are designed for street driven production vehicles. The Trophy Sport Big Brake Kits use the same STR calipers, AeroRotors and AeroHats found in the full-race Trophy Kits, but add silicone dust boots for extended service intervals and anti-rattle rotor mounting hardware for quieter operation. They also include StopTech® Street Performance Brake Pads for high performance street and occasional track use. Trophy Sport Big Brake Kits are the ultimate street braking system.

Cool Carbon Performance Brake Pads

Cool Carbon Performance establishes the new reference in performance braking for performance street/ AutoX/ HPDE/and light track. Both Cool Carbon compounds have been developed at German R&D facilities and have been tested extensively on the German autobahn. Cool Carbon Performance brake pads deliver true undiluted performance.

Street Performance/Track Tuned (S/T) - This compound has a friction level above OE, increasing with heat, and with better torque and stopping capability. It is very stable, both cold and hot to temperatures exceeding 450 C (842 F), due to a special "hollow" ceramic structure that exhibits excellent heat dissipation characteristics. Constrained layer noise shims minimize possibility of noise under all driving conditions. Improved pedal feel and reduced dust can be expected after fully bedded.
