Auto manufacturers often use a conservative ECU map as standard equipment, balancing performance with emissions and fuel economy. Aftermarket vendors experiment with alternative mappings to achieve superior performance.
Turner Motorsport Conforti Performance Chips
With a Conforti Performance Chip, power is boosted at all RPM but most importantly in the upper RPM. The car really feels more alive! This chip was tuned on the dyno to yield as much performance from this engine as possible and still maintain its strength and durability. Jim Conforti tuned the fuel and spark maps to take advantage of 91 octane gasoline. By making the engine more efficient with this fuel, gains in horsepower and torque are achieved as well as making the engine run smoother.
Note: Horsepower Gain: +24 @ 4500RPM, Torque Gain: + 28 @ 5300RPM, New Rev Limit: 5300RPM. Your car may have a replacement DME ending in 021. This chip will work in this replacement computer as long as the existing chip is not soldered. For US models only.
Is your car having a rough time starting when the engine is cold or hot? It could be your cold start injector, which is used to provide the engine with extra fuel when starting cold. If it is leaking it will also make starting difficult when the engine is hot.
