Clutch Pivot Balls

Your pivot balls should always be checked when working on your clutch. If you need new ones Pelican has them.

Clutch Release Arms and Parts

The clutch release arm assists in the release of pressure from the pressure plate on the clutch disk. It should be checked for cracks, wear or bending and should be replaced when doing a clutch replacement.

Clutch Release Bearings and Parts

You should always throw out your old throw-out bearing every time you replace your clutch disc and pressure plate. A loud squeak when the clutch pedal is pressed in can indicate that there is a problem with your throw-out bearing. This can also indicated a flywheel pilot bearing problem as well.

Hydraulic System Fluid

Hydraulic fluid is the life blood of any hydraulic system, and its primary job is to transfer power. There are varying specifics for different applications. Check your owner's manual for your make and models recommended specifications.

Clutch Pedals and Assemblies

The Pedal Cluster takes a lot of abuse. Rainwater, or brake fluid from a leaky master cylinder has a tendency to collect at the bottom of the driver's footwell, deteriorating both the bushings and cable components of the cluster.

The advent of an adjustable clutch stop lets the driver specifically set the ideal point of reference where the clutch pedal stops just after the clutch mechanism disengages. Therefore, once set properly, the gas pedal may be applied immediately after the clutch pedal is released.
This lets the driver shift with one less item to worry about, actually forcing them to become smoother. The clutch stop works on many BMWs (including the E46 models with slight modification to the clutch-sensor switch).
