Hydraulic Lifters |
| Whenever you replace the camshaft, you should replace the lifters as well. As with any moving part, they wear down, so installing a new camshaft with old lifters can cause premature wear on your camshaft. |

Valve Springs |
| Valve springs are used to keep tension on the intake and exhaust valves, thus preventing them from hitting the tops of the pistons. It's a good idea to replace worn out springs during any head rebuild. |
